ABOUT OUR TECHNOLOGY
Our highly qualified Sonographers offer parents, family and friend an opportunity to enjoy the pregnancy experience, creating peace of mind by answering any questions you may have. Our scans are appointment based and every patient is given enough time to enjoy the experience, ask questions and bond with their unborn child. Family members are all welcome to participate and full explanations are given as we go along. It is a time when families come together to experience their miracle in the making.
Most parents are already with a Gynecologist or midwife, and our services are a necessity to provide the Doctors with best images, using the latest 4D technology available. We provide your doctor with valuable information required to ensure a healthy safe pregnancy. Most Gynecologists don't have the time to perform 30 minute ultrasounds required at 22weeks gestation to rule out major abnormalities, so our clinic plays an important role in ensuring your baby's wellbeing. Our Sonographer is highly qualified with many years experience and will provide comprehensive ultrasounds in an intimate and relaxed environment.
Scans can be performed from as early as 12 weeks, all the way to 40weeks, so book early and come and meet the new member!
4D technology
3D imaging has been around for approx 10 years, and the technology is improving daily. It is a computer generated image determined from the normal 2 dimensional images most of us have seen. This technology creates the 3 dimensional image adding valuable information and detail not seen on 2 dimensional images. With 4D, the computer generated imaging is incorporated with the movement, and can be viewed as a real-time video clip. These video clips are stored on a CD or DVD disk for viewing with family and friends.
2 Dimensional imaging
This is the gray scale imaging most of us have seen when having an ultrasound scan. This is a very valuable tool used for diagnostic purpose and most 3D and 4D imaging is derived from 2D imaging. The quality of the 2D imaging is dependent on the technology ,and influences the information obtained on 3D/4D images. It is essential to have good updated ultrasound equipment for 2D diagnostic imaging.
3 Dimensional imaging
These are the brownish yellow images depicting a baby's features. Technology has improved tremendously since the first 3D imaging, approx 10 years ago. The quality of images produced are almost an internal photographic representation of the new born image.
4 Dimensional imaging
Manufactures of 3D ultrasound equipment have taken this technology one step further and added the real time or 'live' functionality to incorporate video clips of the movement. This extra dimension allows patients the opportunity of recording real-time movements and changing facial expressions of their unborn baby, not seen on 3D images. These video clips are stored on CD or DVD disks and allows parents the opportunity of sharing this information with family and friends via DVD, email and Face book
